藉由電影《路卡的夏天》中的人物經歷與夏日情誼，來反思自己如何簡化生活，追求更有意義的人生，並將此反思與聖經經文 (路加福音12:31) 結合。「去除雜亂，騰出空間給耶穌」表示要簡化物質生活，為屬靈層面騰出空間。  作者將「這些東西都必加給你們」詮釋為，當你專注於追求屬靈的豐盛，其他的物質需求（例如生活便利、與人的良好關係）將會自然而然地得到滿足，或者說，神會有所供應。
